|PCA recently hosted one of the first weekend trainings offered by POCA (the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture), as we launched our Auricular AcuTechnician training program. The 5 Needle Protocol (or 5NP, also commonly called acudetox or the NADA protocol) is a safe, simple, and effective treatment designed to be used by non-acupuncturists for addiction and recovery support, trauma, stress, insomnia, depression, anxiety, and chronic pain. This training builds off the decades of work by the Black Panther Party, Young Lords, and National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) to expand access to this simple tool for community healing. More information about the POCA Auricular AcuTechnician or AAT training program available here: https://www.pocacoop.com/ears
Recently trained practitioners will be providing ear acupuncture every Saturday in October 2:30 to 4:30. Suggested donation $5-$10, no one turned away for lack of funds. No appointments, first come, first served. Bring a friend (or two)!
