August 2014
Dear PCA Community,
We have some sad news. Due to a staffing situation that is beyond our control, we are sorry to announce the closing of the PCA’s clinic in West Warwick. The last shift will be Tuesday August 26th from 10 to 1p.m. for our West Warwick location at Thundermist Health Center.
We’re able to transfer care for all of our West Warwick patients to our main location in Providence which is open 7 days a week from 9 to 7 Monday through Thursday, 9 to 6 on Fridays, 9 to 1 on Saturdays, and 9 to 5 on Sundays. If you currently have any appointments scheduled in W.Warwick on or after 8/27/14 please call the clinic in Providence to schedule there instead.
-
If you are a Thundermist patient or staff member who has been receiving acupuncture at PCA’s W.Warwick location we will continue to honor this sliding scale of $5 to $25 in Providence through the rest of the year.
-
If you are NOT a Thundermist patient, but have been going to our W.Warwick location you will receive a gift certificate for a free treatment that you can use for yourself or share with someone else to use in Providence.
Despite a valiant effort from everyone involved in making this project work, including underwriting from Thundermist Health Center and PCA, we have realized that our resources need to be drawn back into our main location. All of our staff and providers sincerely hope you will be able to continue your acupuncture treatments with us in Providence where we offer the same care, but with many more cushy recliners on handWe’d love to hear from all of you, your thoughts and feedback about the clinic and the partnership with Thundermist.
As the Community Acupuncture movement continues to grow in Southern New England and around the country, our work and vision is to continue to open more affordable community acupuncture clinics. We’d love to see one in every town and neighborhood. The community of community acupuncture clinics, their patients, staff and punks are all part of making this vision real.
Thanks for being a part of it.
Love,
From all of us at PCA
We’re also sad to be saying goodbye to Ana once again who will be moving away at the end of August. Be sure to wish her well!
My family (parents) and I were also shocked. We do hope that in the very near future you can relocate the West Warwick office back to our area. The entire team has gone above and beyond for all of us. Thank you for helping us with the affordable treatments and care.
I was shocked and saddened to see the news when I went for my treatment today. It is truly a loss for the W Warwick community. It is also a gain for those who have received treatments there, as they now know about PCA and the great, professional, compassionate, and affordable care that is still available to them in Providence. Best of luck, heath, and happiness to Ana. She truly will be missed.
