Last night the RI Senate passed S2232 on the Floor of that chamber. Next steps will be a RI House of Representatives hearing and subsequent House Floor vote if it makes it out of committee. We’ll keep you updated and let you know when the time comes to send letters, or come down to the Statehouse to support our bill.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), 12.4 percent of Rhode Islanders, over 54,200 households, are food insecure, meaning they are often unsure where their next meal will come from due to lack of resources.
Do your part this month by supporting our food drive for the RI Food Bank. Bring anything from the below list to the clinic from February 9th to February 15th and we will donate an additional $1 per item collected. We are only accepting items from the below list suggested by the RI Food Bank!
You can bring:
Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
Whole wheat pasta
Please only donate healthy, nutritious food that is in good condition and “in date.” Expired foods, homemade products, and glass jars of baby food will not be accepted.
Community health and healing takes many forms: we hope you can join us this month in doing your part to help fight hunger in Rhode Island.
All month long, returning patients can bring in a new patient and the new patient’s treatment will be free. Share acupuncture with your coworker, friend, neighbor, family member, etc. You know that person you’ve been telling they HAVE to try acupuncture? Now’s your chance to bring them with you for free!
Please call to schedule a new patient appointment, as we are not able to accommodate new patient appointments through our online schedule. Call us today at 401-272-2288 to book your slot.
For each visit, you can only bring one new person with you for free. However, you can bring someone new along with you for a free first visit as many times during the month as you wish!
We will be open our regular hours on President’s Day, Monday 2/17
