Stop by Providence Community Acupuncture as we will be hosting another seasonal 5NP clinic. This clinic is meant to help behavioral/mental health, and recovery detox professionals get their poking reps in to become Auricular Acu Tech certified. This is also a great first step for folks who have yet to become (ACU)ainted with acupuncture. It’s free and open to the public. Hope to see you there.

Thursday, January 9th + Friday, January 10th, 2025 at Brown University Health & Wellness Center, 450 Brook St in Providence, RI 

To apply to the 1/9 + 1/10 training at Brown, complete this APPLICATION FORM. 

If your application is accepted, we will contact you to complete registration.  We can only ensure your spot in the training once we receive full payment from you.  



Friday, February 7th + Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at Providence Community Acupuncture (PCA) at 1055 Westminster St, Providence, RI

About these trainings

The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) is a non-profit  organization that sponsors AAT trainings across North America as part of its mission to  support affordable and accessible acupuncture. Certified AATs, AATs in training and  AAT trainers stay connected via POCA’s monthly newsletter, website, virtual and in person organizing and events. 

This training requires 15 hours of online self-study and 20 hours of in-person hands-on  training which consists of 2-days of in-person classroom time and supervised practice  clinics. You will likely need to attend 1-2 follow up practice clinics to complete all 40  supervised treatments. For more information about this training, please see FAQs. 

Fees: Registration for the training is on a sliding scale from $350 to $450 and includes  both online and in-person training. Payment can be made with credit card, check or  cash. If your employer is paying for your attendance, we can invoice them. 

PLEASE NOTE: A current People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA)  membership is required for your attendance at this training and is a separate $50 fee  paid directly to POCA via their website. JOIN POCA as an AAT member HERE.

Purchasing A Gift Card from PCA :]

Purchasing a gift card 

ONLINE

Buying a gift card online at PCA is easy but there’s a few things to know to get started.

1- You need an account in our system

If you’re an existing patient all you need to do is log into your account. If you’re not a patient, no worries, you can still set up an account in our system to purchase a gift card for someone else. This is a security measure and allows customers to retrieve the gift card code if it is lost

2-Head over to the GIFT CARD PURCHASING PAGE on our scheduler.

3- Decide how much value you want the gift card to have. You can purchase more than one treatment on a gift card. Just decide how many and how much on the sliding scale and add all of that together.

As a reference our fees are:

$45 for a NEW PATIENT aka FIRST TIME visit

Sliding scale $30 and $50 for a FOLLOW-UP visit

4-If the person you are buying the gift card is already a patient you can transfer the gift card amount over to their account by calling us and letting us know who you want the credit to go to. However, please note that we CANNOT tell you whether or not someone is already a patient in order to protect their privacy. You must already have that information in order for us to do a transfer of credit with the gift card purchaser.

YOU CAN however share the unique code generated with each gift card with the recipient of your gift card and then they can redeem it next time they’re in.

The Treat Freq Special (aka el Freque)

Hello Treat Freq!

This special replaces our Acu-Pass special which severed us well for the past 2 years. Thank you Acu-Pass!

The Treat Freq special acknowledges the fact that sometimes a very stubborn, chronic condition, or a more recent acute condition just needs a week or two of intensive acupuncture treatment to get things moving. This special is for those times. 

Purchase The Treat Freq special on a sliding scale of $75 to $115. 

The Treat Freq can only be purchased in-person at our front desk. Be sure to let the front desk person know that you will be purchasing the Treat Freq before you pay!

You can use this special for up to 5 treatments, but they must be used within a 7 day period.

Clock starts at time of purchase.

Our usual late cancellation policy applies to all appointments made with the Treat Freq special.


Once you purchase the Treat Freq you can continue to schedule your return visits via our online scheduler.
